Job Summary
Provide nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting under Registered Nurse supervision, admitting, transferring, and discharging patients as needed. Conduct daily rounds to observe physical and emotional status, administer medications, and perform manual and technical skills within legal scope of practice. Accurately record clinical data, interventions, and resident responses in medical records while maintaining a clean and safe unit environment. Assist in developing and reviewing resident Plans of Care, manage narcotic inventory, and initiate emergency procedures including basic CPR. Report significant clinical findings, incidents, or unusual occurrences to physicians and facility supervisors, and participate in quality assurance, infection control, and staff orientation programs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or an approved LVN program
- Current nursing licensure in good standing with the State licensing board
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to provide quality patient care in accordance with applicable standards, policies, and procedures
- Ability to identify and report problems, use initiative and good judgment to reach quality decisions
- Comprehensive knowledge of applicable nursing principles and practices
- Possess the willingness to work with professional and non-professional personnel
- Proficiency of the English language including the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the language with minimal to no difficulty
- Valid CPR certification
