Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including initial and ongoing data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Synthesize assessment data to identify problems, formulate nursing diagnoses, and develop teaching plans and outcomes. Assist with implementing the plan of care by delivering, assigning, or delegating interventions within legal and regulatory parameters. Evaluate patient outcomes against evidence-based benchmarks and coordinate follow-up care or referrals as needed. Operate under RN supervision with a focus on patient safety while maintaining legal scope of practice. Requires current Texas RN license or graduate status, with ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications potentially required depending on department. Full-time employment with physical capabilities to lift up to 35 lbs.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Current State of Texas License as a Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear
  • Lifting capability limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff
  • Lifting capability limited to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff
  • Ability to use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with lifts over maximum limits

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
