Job Summary
Provides individualized nursing care for patients/families under the direction of an RN. Performs assessment, plans and implements interventions per the Plan Of Care and contributes to evaluation of outcomes. Communicates to ensure patient/family education and planned treatments. Maintains thorough documentation and collaborates with RNs and other health-care team members to coordinate care, schedules, and patient needs. Roles include night shift 11 PM–7:30 AM, 0.8 FTE (32 hours/week) at Mesa Vista Hospital; requires California LVN license, BLS, and IV therapy/blood withdrawal certification. Proficient clinical judgment, effective communication, and commitment to patient education and advocacy are essential.
Required Qualifications
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - REQUIRED
- California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - REQUIRED
- Vocational Nurse IV Therapy/Blood Withdrawal Certification - REQUIRED
- 1 Year LVN experience in an acute care setting or related area - PREFERRED
