Job Summary
Provide wound-related and basic nursing care to patients under RN or provider direction, adhering to hospital policies, safety protocols, and CMS guidelines. Assist with intake and discharge, gather patient information, and prepare necessary equipment and supplies. Perform Basic Life Support duties, manage hyperbaric oxygen therapy tasks after training, and function as a documentation assistant. Report quality of care issues to the Clinical Nurse Manager and communicate therapeutic interventions with team members to ensure patient safety. Requires a current LVN/LPN license, two years of experience including one in SNF or LTACH, and BLS competency. Full-time or PRN status available with competitive compensation. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program/state approved educational program
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice
- Two (2) or more years' experience as LPN/LVN
- One (1) or more years in SNF or LTACH setting
- Demonstrated competency in BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Demonstrated organization, prioritization and time-management skills
- Basic knowledge of regulatory/accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations
- Strong interpersonal, listening, as well as oral and written communication skills
- Customer service skills and follow-up skills
- Ability to multi-task and to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with others and in a team environment
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to stay calm in all situations
- Working knowledge of computerized nursing systems
- Physical demands: Being in a stationary position for extended periods of time (4 hours or more)
