Job Summary
Administer medicines following established policies, including patient observation and ongoing monitoring based on clinic-specific procedures. Assist in developing a prioritized interdisciplinary plan of care and follow established policies for the administration of narcotics. Perform admission intake and maintain expectations for all competencies, licenses, and certifications as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health, The Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and other regulatory agencies. Works under the supervision of a RN or clinic provider in the patient care area.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited LVN program
- Current California LVN license
- Current CPR Certification
- All required vaccinations
- Medical and religious exemptions (where applicable)
- E-Verify participation
- Access to and reading of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
- Understanding of E-Verify contents
- Conformance with all HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach above shoulders, sit, walk inclines and declines, stand, talk, hear, and perform repetitive hand motions
- Close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to pull, lift, transfer, or push a patient side to side, to a sitting position, to a standing position, or laterally
- Demonstration of a pull lift of 50 pounds from the floor
- Potential exposure to blood and body fluids (Category 1)
- Administration of medicines following established policies, including patient observation
- Assistance in the development of a prioritized interdisciplinary plan of care
- Following established policies for the administration of narcotics
- Meeting expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and all other regulatory agencies
- Performance of admission intake and ongoing monitoring based on clinic specific policy and procedures
- Willingness to perform other duties and innovations as assigned
