Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in an office-based setting by assisting physicians and nurse practitioners, performing telephone triage, and documenting all contacts. Accurately calculate medication dosages, maintain patient confidentiality, and ensure compliance with universal precautions and OSHA standards. Clean, stock, and prepare examination rooms while monitoring medical supply inventory. Participate in the revenue cycle by securing authorizations, referrals, and documenting correct CPT and ICD-10 codes. Maintain a caring attitude and treat all patients and families with dignity and respect. This role requires a state-licensed LVN with at least two years of office experience, CPR certification, and the ability to function in a fast-paced environment with 15% travel requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Possess and maintain a State Licensed Practical Nursing license
- Accurately calculate medication dosages
- Must maintain CPR certification
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment
- Ability to work well as part of a healthcare team
- This position will have 15% travel requirements as needed
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in an office environment preferred
- OBGYN Experience strongly preferred
