Job Summary
Provide nursing services to individuals receiving medication in accordance with Texoma Community Center's philosophy and objectives. Operate under trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care models aligned with CCBHC standards. Deliver quality services to persons with mental and developmental disorders while practicing cultural competency and adhering to privacy policies. Maintain knowledge of cultural differences and work cooperatively with diverse backgrounds. Requires current Texas LVN licensure, a valid driver's license, and vehicle availability. Required Qualifications
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
- Current driver's license
- A vehicle for use during work hours
- State of Texas Board of Nursing
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Ability to handle money/make change
- Ability to generate, read, interpret, and take action as it relates to basic financial statements, national and state regulations, operational and maintenance and organizational policy / procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively to maintain good working relationships
- Ability to work with skill in identifying problems
- Ability to Consistently practices Trauma-informed Model of Care
- Ability to understand and consider the pervasive nature of trauma
- The knowledge of cultural differences and ability to work with individuals from different cultural backgrounds
Desired Qualifications
- Psychiatric experience
- Experience working with individuals with mental illness and/ or addiction issues
- Ability to speak a second language relevant to population served
