Job Summary
Provide direct patient care including specialized end-of-life duties, implement nursing practice following comprehensive assessments, and document patient services accurately. Assess and educate patients and families on diagnosis and self-care plans, manage pain and symptoms, and evaluate treatment responses. Coordinate hospice services by reporting identified needs to the interdisciplinary group and use equipment adhering to aseptic technique. Participate in quality assessment performance improvement teams and maintain knowledge of information systems. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm at a rate of $30-$32. Required Qualifications
- Must currently be licensed as an LPN/LVN in the State
- Must have three (3) years nursing experience
- Must understand the philosophy of hospice concept
- Must understand needs of the terminally ill
- Must be flexible in work hours
- Must demonstrate a willingness to maintain comprehensive working knowledge regarding information systems and applicable software programs
