Job Summary
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides high-quality nursing care to residents in a senior/assisted living community, under supervision of a licensed nurse or healthcare manager. Responsibilities include resident assessment, ADL assistance, health monitoring, medication administration per physician orders, collaboration with care teams, implementing individualized care plans, infection control, emergency response, resident education, team participation, documentation, and performing other duties per policies. Requires graduation from an accredited LVN/LPN program and current Texas LVN license; minimum 1 year healthcare nursing experience with geriatric, emergency or first aid preferred; continuing education credits required; Alzheimer’s/dementia care experience preferred. Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited LVN or LPN program
- Licensure: Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of Texas
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in a healthcare setting; geriatric nursing, emergency care, and first aid preferred
- Continuing Education: Must maintain required continuing education credits in accordance with state regulations
- Specialized Training: Experience or training in Alzheimer’s and dementia care, including Validation Therapy, preferred
