Job Summary
Assess patient conditions, administer medications, perform prescribed treatments, and meticulously document care in the medical record. Collaborate with RNs and physicians to implement individualized care plans while identifying and reporting patient abuse or neglect. Correctly identify color-coded wristbands for patients with specific risk factors and provide effective care to a diverse population. Act as the client's advocate by initiating actions to improve health care or ensure informed decision-making. Ensure accurate documentation of advance directives and refer questions to Chaplain Services. Maintain zero leftover events in the clinical system through consistent adherence to department policies.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year current experience in an acute or long term care setting
- Licensed Vocational Nurse: LVN CA
- Basic Life Support - BLS
- Expanded IV Therapy Course
