Job Summary
Assist in the nursing process by instructing patients and caregivers in self-care and providing basic nursing care under the direction of a registered nurse. Conduct direct patient care, including administering basic medications and using adaptive equipment, while maintaining harmonious relationships with interdisciplinary teams and community resources. Manage department operations by prioritizing work, solving unique problems, and reinforcing staff efforts in a challenging home health environment. Maintain current licensure, certifications, and core competencies for the position.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Vocational Nursing
- LVN-Licensed Vocational Nurse
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- DL-Valid Drivers License
- AUTO-Automobile Insurance
- Blood draw certificate within 30 days
- 1 Minimum 1 year of professional experience
- 5 Direct patient care experience within the past five years
- Basic competencies in the fundamentals of nursing
- Basic competencies in pharmacology
- Current California drivers license
- Access to a reliable automobile
- Proof of liability insurance
- Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of diverse groups of people
- Ability to maintain harmonious constructive working relationships with internal and external customers
- Ability to use and give instruction of adaptive equipment
- Ability to handle sensitive issues, conflict with or among others
- Ability to directly and reinforce staff efforts
