Job Summary
Provides direct and individualized nursing care to an assigned group of patients under the supervision of a registered professional nurse, participates in planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care, assists in health teaching of patients and families, and ensures accurate medication administration and documentation; requires competent clinical skills, knowledge of infection control, PHI handling, and adherence to nursing practice standards; licensure as a Vocational Nurse and BLS (ACLS/PALS highly recommended) are essential; prior clinical experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current Vocational Nurse licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), highly recommended
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), highly recommended
- One (1) year of clinical practice, preferred
