Job Summary
Plan, organize, and direct nursing functions for patients on the unit, making assignments appropriate to staff skill levels. Lead licensed and non-professional personnel in delivering direct resident care while maintaining acceptable standards and enforcing infection-control policies. Accurately implement physicians' orders, perform basic assessments, and develop comprehensive care plans before duty ends to ensure safe, therapeutic care. Accept accountability for clinical care, communicate with patients and families, and respond appropriately to urgent or emergency situations. Work as assigned, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Current LVN license
- CPR certified
- Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal or written instructions in English
- Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
- Ability to be flexible and positive with intermittent interruptions
- The ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be available for some weekends, evenings and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years nursing experience in long term care/skilled nursing
