Job Summary
Charge Nurse to provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practices, regulations and directed by the Director of Nursing. Lead or direct licensed and non-professional staff in the delivery of direct resident care and support functions. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and directing nursing functions, creating care plans, assigning tasks based on staff skill levels, maintaining infection-control policies, documenting nursing history, using electronic medical records (PointClickCare), and ensuring high standards of patient care and communication with patients, families, and the health care team.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a current LVN/RN license
- CPR certification required
- Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal or written instructions in English
- Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
- Ability to be flexible and positive with intermittent interruptions
