Job Summary
Charge Nurse to provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with nursing standards; lead or direct licensed and non-professional staff in delivering care; requires an active LVN/RN license and CPR; responsible for planning, organizing, and directing nursing care, assigning tasks to staff, maintaining infection-control practices, and communicating with patients and families. Proficient in electronic medical record charting (PointClickCare); develop and implement care plans, assess patients, and respond to changes in condition; uphold confidentiality and professional standards; operate within regulatory guidelines and collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Current LVN or RN license
- CPR certification required
- Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal or written instructions in English
- Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
- Ability to be flexible and positive with intermittent interruptions
- Current LVN license in the unit or state of employment
- Provides nursing care as prescribed by physician and according to standards of nursing practice
- Ability to supervise licensed and non-professional staff
