Job Summary
Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practices. Lead or direct licensed and non-professional staff in the delivery of direct resident care and support functions. Ensure resident safety by planning, organizing, and directing nursing functions while making assignments appropriate to skill levels. Accurately implement physician orders, perform basic assessments, record vital signs, and develop care plans before the end of duty time. Respond appropriately in urgent or emergency situations and adhere to infection-control policies. Utilize electronic medical record charting and maintain professional confidentiality while promoting positive public relations with patients, families, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a current LVN/RN license
- CPR certification required
- Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal or written instructions in English
- Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
- Ability to be flexible and positive with intermittent interruptions
- Current LVN license
- Have the ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations
