Job Summary
Provide direct nursing services to students under the direction of the district RN and support health and wellness to enhance learning and attendance. Responsibilities include routine and emergency nursing care, administering medications per physician orders and district policy, maintaining student health records, monitoring chronic conditions, conducting state-required health screenings and immunization compliance, responding to medical emergencies, and collaborating with campus staff to support student health and safety. Maintain confidentiality per FERPA and HIPAA; manage clinic supplies and equipment; support attendance and wellness initiatives; and work in a 187-day calendar setting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and healthcare providers
- Knowledge of basic first aid, emergency procedures, and student health practices
