Job Summary
Conduct overnight valet operations at St. Regis Bal Harbour, including parking and retrieving guest vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously. Assist guests with luggage delivery and pickup, open vehicle doors, and provide directions, taxi information, and local amenities. Maintain a friendly demeanor by greeting guests within five feet, using their last names, and issuing claim checks only after receiving keys. Collect revenue for vehicles, manage key tags, and complete all ticket information accurately. Perform parallel parking and operate a manual transmission if available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver's license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work (as applicable)
- One (1) month related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English language
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to perform these operations using units of American money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Overnight shifts
- Travel of up to 5% may be required
- Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- The majority of work will be performed outdoors for extended periods of time including up to the entire duration of shift
- Protection from weather conditions may be provided, but not necessarily from temperature changes
