Job Summary
Prepare food to comply with portion sizes, quality standards, and department rules while maintaining proper food temperatures and storage. Keep workstations, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and stocked; use waste control guidelines and record spoilage. Perform opening, closing, and side work duties including end-of-day inventory. Part-time role at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. Requires at least one year of back-of-the-house experience, ability to read prep sheets and follow recipes, and physical capability to lift 50 lbs, stand, and walk in high noise levels. Pay ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of previous experience in a back-of-the-house food service position
- Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets and recipes
- Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more
- Must be able to reach up to seven feet
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to squat
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire length of the shift in moderate to high noise levels
- Manual ability to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids
- Manual ability to operate kitchen equipment
