Job Summary
Lunchtime monitor responsible for supervising students during the meal period, assisting with cafeteria cleanliness, ensuring safety and orderly flow of meals, and supporting staff. Requires high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid knowledge, strong communication, ability to handle a fast-paced environment, reading/writing English, familiarity with meal pattern regulations, and basic food safety. Part-time role (9:45 AM–1:45 PM, Monday–Friday) at Gateway College Preparatory School in Georgetown, TX, with responsibilities including behavior management, positive interactions with students and staff, assisting with service flow, and participation in training and clean-up duties. Required Qualifications
- Education equivalent to completion of high school or GED
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR training
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently
- Physically able to move around the cafeteria and stand for long periods
- Effective communication skills
- Reading and writing English
- Knowledge of meal pattern requirements; understands federal, state, and local program regulations
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures for food service
- Mature, dependable, good judgment
- Experience preferred: three months with children in fast-paced environment
