Job Summary
Monitors students during meal service, circulates in the cafeteria to assist students, and supports cleanliness and organization of the lunch environment. Communicates professionally with students, staff, and parents, enforces school and lunchroom rules, assists with lunchroom orientation, and supports with accident reports and emergency responses. Requires training in Heimlich Maneuver and CPR and knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation procedures; prior experience with students is an asset.

- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Skilled in communicating with a wide range of ages and personalities
- Ability to resolve conflicts fairly
- Good reading comprehension
- Oral communication abilities to clearly explain rules and regulations
- Knowledge of student behavior and ability to redirect and control students
- Ability to exercise disciplinary procedures in a consistent and fair manner
- Trained in Heimlich Maneuver and CPR
- Functional reading and writing English
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to multi-task with attention to detail
- Knowledge of meal pattern requirements and food service regulations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
