Job Summary
Monitors student behavior during meal service and assists with the cleanliness of the cafeteria, recycling, and the flow of meal service under the general supervision of the principal and the Food Services Department. Interacts professionally with community members, parents, students, and staff. Must be able to communicate effectively with students and staff, manage multiple duties in a cafeteria setting, and apply knowledge of meal pattern requirements and food safety procedures. Prior experience with students and knowledge of first aid are assets; role includes assisting with lunchroom orientation, enforcing rules, and reporting any incidents to teachers or principals. Trains and demonstrates organizational and time-management skills, and responds to emergencies as needed.
