Job Summary
Oversee the lunchroom and students during meal times, addressing behavioral issues and ensuring safety while collaborating with the kitchen team and administrators. Manage student concerns in coordination with the Lead Lunch Monitor, school nurses, and school leaders. Perform basic food prep, cleaning, and point of sale system tasks in the commercial kitchen environment. Work Monday through Friday, standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 pounds, with occasional weekend or evening hours. This role requires a born-again believer who integrates a gospel-centered message into daily responsibilities within a Preschool-12 Private Christian School and Evangelical Church setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to interact with students of all ages, helping them with lunch, instructing them on procedures, and maintaining a calm and organized lunch experience
- Ability to learn and use basic point of sale systems
- Ability to work in the kitchen doing basic food prep and cleaning
- Ability to be flexible to fill in as needed in the kitchen, a la carte and lunchroom
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds frequently
- Must be able to effectively integrate a gospel centered message into their day-to-day responsibilities
- Must be a born-again believer who exhibits the Fruit of the Spirit in their daily walk
- Must be a regular attendee and supporter of a church whose fundamental beliefs are evangelical in nature
- Must be able to address any student safety or behavioral concerns in the lunchroom in coordination with the Lead Lunch Monitor
- Must be able to collaborate with school nurses and school leaders on student concerns
- Must be able to collaborate with the kitchen team and school administrators to solve problems related to the lunchroom
- Must be able to oversee the lunchroom
- Must be able to oversee students during lunch
- Must be able to work in a Preschool-12 Private Christian School and Evangelical Church environment
- Must have a demonstrated and personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Must be available for occasional weekend and evening hours
- Must be available to work 20 hours per week
- Must be available to work 10 months of the year
