Lunch Assistant - Sharpsburg Elementary School 2026-2027

Supervise and manage 90–100 students in the cafeteria and on the playground, enforce acceptable noise levels and good table manners, address disturbances, assist with trays and opening containers, help with orderly dismissal between cafeteria and classroom and playground, coordinate playground activities as needed, and maintain a courteous, professional demeanor under the principal’s supervision; position is part-time, 10-month calendar with up to 2.25 hours per day, and compensation is hourly at $15 for the 2026–2027 school year; requires ability to work with students and adults, regular attendance, and ability to perform essential functions with accommodations if needed; physical demands include prolonged standing, movement throughout the building, and ability to lift up to 20 lbs; placement within Washington County Public Schools environment with temp status and no guaranteed hours
