Job Summary
Lunch Assistant at Clear Spring Middle School responsible for supervising up to 90-100 students during lunch and playground periods, maintaining order and good manners, distributing lunch condiments, assisting with trays and dismissals, and fostering a professional, cooperative environment under the principal’s supervision. Role requires standing/walking for extended periods, ability to move throughout the building, emotional self-control under stress, and ability to lift/move objects up to 20 lbs. This temporary, 10-month position is paid hourly and not guaranteed a set number of hours. Location: Clear Spring Middle School, Washington County Public Schools.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to supervise students
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with students and adults
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to perform essential functions with or without accommodations
- Supervision of 90-100 students in cafeteria and playground
- Assist with dismissal and orderly movement
- Ability to move, stand, walk for extended periods
- Tolerance for loud environment and various odors
