Job Summary
Unloader and Lumper perishable shipments: responsibilities include unloading trucks, ensuring product is stacked to proper heights for rack systems, and assisting with the receiving process and paperwork. The role requires training and mentoring team members, operating pallet jack and related equipment, checking product temperatures, reporting discrepancies, coordinating with receivers and reach truck operators, maintaining pallet stability, and adhering to food safety and housekeeping standards. Candidates should be able to read labels, perform basic math for pallet counts, and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays in a refrigerated warehouse environment. Prior warehouse experience and comfort with headset-driven workflows (VoCollect) are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Warehouse experience preferred
- Experience operating Material Handling Equipment preferred (pallet jack, pacer, etc.)
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to do basic math to ensure proper height and counts per pallet
- Ability to accommodate flexible schedules (nights, weekends, holidays)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally
- Ability to work in refrigerated warehouse environment
- Ability to wear PPE correctly
