Job Summary
Unload packages, materials, and pallets from arriving trucks and prepare items for distribution and storage. Sort and segregate items per pallet, palletize products, and transport all freight safely throughout the warehouse. Operate reach trucks and stack products on warehouse shelves while putting away pallets from the receiving dock. Maintain a clean, orderly workstation and loading/unloading area by returning supplies to assigned locations and adhering to all workplace safety guidelines. Verify products, quantities, and order numbers correctly. Requires previous experience driving reach trucks and pallet jacks, plus the physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally and stand for several hours.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Basic math skills
- Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Very strong urgency in meeting objectives and deadlines
- Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form
- Ability to complete tasks under standardized situations with occasional variables
- Ability to work independently
- Great communication skills
- Previous experience driving reach trucks and pallet jacks
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and position: up to 20 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to constantly bend, reach above shoulder, grasp objects, climb, kneel, squat, twist and stand throughout shift
- Ability to push/pull up to 150 lbs. occasionally
- Confident and comfortable operating equipment at heights up to 30 feet
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a warehouse worker
- Experience with loading, packing, and trucking
- Experience as a forklift or pallet jack driver
