Job Summary
Lumberman loads and unloads building materials and related items, moves loads to storage or production areas and to delivery vehicles, attaches identifying tags, reads work orders, and stacks loads using material handling equipment. Responsibilities include following safety policies, maintaining a clean work environment, reviewing deliveries for quality and accuracy, and performing related duties as assigned. Requires reading/writing comprehension, ability to operate hand tools and material handling equipment (including hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts), and the physical capability to lift/carry up to 75 pounds. Second-shift role with at-will employment status at Ganahl Lumber Company.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Ability to lift/carry up to 75 pounds regularly
- Ability to read, write, understand, and relay written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screens
