Lumber Yard Associate

Yard Associate at R.P. Lumber Co. is responsible for delivering prompt, courteous service to customers in the yard while maintaining a safe, organized, and clean environment. Duties include loading materials into customer or company delivery vehicles, unloading incoming freight, operating a forklift to stock the yard and warehouse, building loads for delivery, assisting with deliveries to homeowners and job sites, answering product questions, managing inventory and pricing labels, and adhering to safety policies. The role requires strong customer service, teamwork, and the ability to follow POS-based transaction records, with additional emphasis on safety, accuracy in loading/unloading, and maintaining merchandising standards. A high school diploma or GED is expected, with forklift experience preferred and a valid Missouri driver’s license required for certain tasks.
