Job Summary
Load customer vehicles with building materials safely and efficiently using hand tools and forklifts. Inspect delivered inventory, deposit stock in designated locations, and maintain yard cleanliness. Operate equipment while adhering to safety protocols, performing daily lift inspections and reporting malfunctions. Complete paperwork for change orders, inventory adjustments, and hold harmless forms. Assist customers with product knowledge, measure items, and stage will call orders. Work outdoors in all weather conditions, lifting up to 90 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, write, and read English
- Knowledge of receiving/inventory control principles, practices and protocols
- Knowledge of dimension lumber and panel products and other building materials
- Ability to read and interpret picking tickets and invoices
- Ability to concentrate and attend to detail amidst a busy work environment
- General knowledge and use of power tools
- Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to stoop, bend, walk
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA Certified Forklift License
- Ability to read a measuring tape
- Understands product terminology and grading
- Ability to read and interpret picking tickets and invoices
