Job Summary
General Laborer at Baillie Lumber Co. in Titusville, PA. Responsible for sorting boards into carts by sort numbers, bundling bundles to be forklift-ready, ensuring boards are free of knots and defects, and making bundles square with a top layer. Requires identifying sort numbers, assembling bundles, and preparing bundles for forklift removal. Prior experience in warehouses or farming is preferred; high school degree preferred but not required. Full-time with overtime and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Identify the sort numbers for the carts you are responsible for
- Pull boards into the correct carts according to sort numbers on the boards
- Pile the boards with the widest top/bottom/outer layers as the longest
- Edges free of knots, wane, writing and other defects
- Bundle must be square with edge boards against the pipes of the cart
- Build each bundle until full and finish with a top layer
- Push out finished bundle for forklift to remove
- Previous experience as a warehouse worker preferred
- Previous experience as an entry level worker is preferred
- Previous experience working on a farm is a plus
- High School degree preferred, but not required
