Lumber Line Operator

Job Summary
Strap and tally lumber, composite, or poles; rehandle materials; and operate equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain good housekeeping in assigned areas, complete appropriate forms legibly, and perform necessary computer functions for paperwork. Adhere strictly to all company rules, Health & Safety policies, SOPs, and OHSA standards by wearing required PPE and reporting safety issues immediately. Participate in mandated training and come prepared for varied environments across all seasons. Work independently Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 2:00pm, handling repetitive tasks with attention to detail and excellent troubleshooting skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Stand/walk for significant periods of time
- Be able to lift 50lbs unassisted
- Good manual dexterity, hand eye co-ordination
- Comfortable completing repetitive tasks
- Attention to detail
- Excellent trouble-shooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills
- Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Read and comprehend instructions, email correspondence, memos & schedules
- Communicate both verbally and electronically (email)
- Work independently and be flexible regarding work assignments
- Shift is Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:00pm
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift Experience is an asset but is not required
