Job Summary
Lube & Tire Tech – Morenci, AZ: Full-time position providing tire service and lubrication for fleet equipment at FMI Morenci In-Pit Mine. Responsibilities include changing, repairing, switching, and rotating tires; lubricating moving parts; performing oil, fuel, water, and air filter services; troubleshooting basic mechanical issues; inputting data into maintenance software; obtaining parts from stock; maintaining safety and OSHA/EPA compliance; assisting with general maintenance and service calls; and supporting other maintenance personnel as needed. Requires knowledge of tires and basic mechanic experience, ability to troubleshoot, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, valid driver license, and protective PPE usage. Shift is Friday–Monday, 4:30am–2:30pm; compensation includes $20/hour DOE, additional pay for CDL holder or certified welder, quarterly safety bonus, weekly pay, and benefits after 60 days.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver License
- Knowledge of tires and services and basic mechanic experience
- One year experience lube and tire tech, preferred
- Basic understanding of diesel/heavy equipment
- Own set of entry-level tools
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Must wear steel-toed boots
- Authorized access to FMI
- Excellent communication and team-work skills
