Job Summary
Perform oil changes, fluid checks, and routine maintenance including transmission fluid levels, belt inspections, and tire pressure monitoring. Conduct basic vehicle inspections to identify potential issues, test systems for proper operation, and execute repairs by replacing worn parts. Utilize hand and power tools safely while road testing vehicles when necessary. Adhere strictly to dealership and manufacturer service procedures, safety standards, and specifications to maintain accuracy and efficiency in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand/work on your feet for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- Previous automotive or service department experience
- Ford certification
- Previous Ford dealership experience
- State Inspector certification
- Basic knowledge of automobiles and vehicle maintenance
- Ability to identify and address basic vehicle maintenance issues
- ASE certifications
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to learn new technology
- Strong reading, communication, and basic math skills
- Ability to follow repair and service procedures and specifications
- Positive, friendly attitude
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment
