Job Summary

Perform oil changes, drain old oil, replace filters, and replenish fluids including coolant and brake fluid per manufacturer specs. Inspect tires, rotate them, and check pressure; conduct basic system inspections for battery, belts, and hoses. Test drive vehicles post-maintenance to verify function, move cars for workflow, and document all services and parts used. Interact with customers to provide updates and answer questions while adhering to Cal/OSHA safety protocols. Collaborate with parts associates and senior technicians, participate in training sessions, and maintain a clean workspace.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an automotive service or maintenance role
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Required to have California driver's license within 30 days following date of hire
  • At least one year of verifiable driving experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the job description
  • Must be able to work in tight spaces
  • Frequently bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
  • Regular exposure to contaminants such as antifreeze and chemical degreasers
  • Frequent use of protective gear such as goggles and earplugs
  • Work both indoors and outdoors, something in cramped spaces and awkward positions
  • Must be able to work in various positions (e.g., bending, kneeling) for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity to handle tools and small parts
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and work in various positions (e.g., bending, kneeling) for extended periods
  • Ability to frequently lift 30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work in tight spaces
  • Ability to follow all federal, state, and local regulations governing automotive service and repair, including Cal/OSHA
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing protective gear and equipment as required
  • Maintain a clean workspace and satisfactory attendance
