Job Summary
Conduct fluid checks, change oil, and inspect transmission levels, belts, filters, and air gauges on vehicles. Isolate systems causing problems, drive vehicles for testing, and repair or replace worn parts before breakdowns. Use power tools, machine tools, and hand tools to perform tasks while maintaining diagnostic accuracy. Operate electronic diagnostic equipment and lift 50 pounds for extended periods in a fast-paced environment. Minimum one year in service department required with ASE certifications preferred. Required Qualifications
- Previous experience at a dealership
- Ability to identify the problem quickly
- Knowledge of automobiles
- Effective analytical and communication skills
- Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
- Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year in service department
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
- Positive, friendly attitude
