Lube Technician II

Job Summary
Responsible for executing lubrication routes (oil changes, greasing) and inspections for motors, pumps, bearings, and gearboxes; perform oil sampling and ensure sample integrity; inspect equipment for contamination, leaks, overheating, abnormal noise, and improper lubrication; ensure proper lubricant storage, handling, and contamination control; identify issues from magnetic plugs, filters, and lubrication systems; use CMMS (JD Edwards) to execute work orders, document findings, and initiate corrective actions; support condition monitoring activities (vibration, temperature, visual inspections) in coordination with the reliability team; provide feedback to improve lubrication routes, frequencies, and maintenance strategies; perform minor mechanical repairs related to lubrication systems; train and mentor junior technicians; operate forklifts and overhead cranes; maintain housekeeping in lubrication storage and work areas; ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies; uphold high standards of safe working practices and PPE usage; role may include other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Certification or training in lubrication or oil analysis (e.g., Noria, ICML or equivalent)
- Minimum 3–5 years of maintenance or lubrication experience
- Experience using CMMS systems (e.g., JD Edwards)
- Proficiency with rotating equipment maintenance (pumps, motors, bearings)
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience mentoring or training junior personnel
- Must be able to meet “Authorized User” requirements for High Risk Activities (e.g., Fall Protection, Confined Space)
