Job Summary
The Lube Technician is responsible for performing oil changes, fluid checks, and basic vehicle maintenance services at Spotless Brands lube centers. Essential tasks include oil and filter changes, topping off vehicle fluids, inspecting and replacing components such as air filters, and maintaining service documentation. The role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication with customers, and adhering to safety protocols. Basic automotive knowledge and the ability to work in a physically active environment are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age (or older where required by law or safety regulations)
- Basic understanding of automotive systems and routine vehicle maintenance
- Knowledge of fluid types, filters, and manufacturer maintenance intervals
- Familiarity with automotive tools and lift safety
- Effective communication skills and interacting with customers and team members
- Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge on the job
- Comfort working with vehicles and machinery in a physically active role
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work in an environment with varying noise levels, including loud sounds from machinery, tools, or high-traffic areas
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, as business needs or emergencies arise
