Job Summary
Check and change car fluids and filters, including transmission, differential, and radiator services. Observe safety rules while working in a garage environment with heavy equipment, maintaining a clean work area and proper uniform usage. Provide prompt, courteous customer service by explaining services, answering questions, and accepting payment. Note maintenance information into the computer and rotate through duties as assigned by the Manager. Complete the Lube Technician training course to perform essential functions.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a driver's license
- Must have reliable transportation
- To successfully perform the essential functions of the position, the employee must be able to read and write English
- To successfully perform the essential functions of the position, the employee must be able to reach four feet in height overhead
- Some bending, stretching, and walking up/down the stairs will be used constantly
- The employee must be able to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
- Mobility is required
- Must be able to operate overhead and floor mounted oil and grease guns
- Must be able to operate differential pump
- Must be able to operate transmission fluid exchange machine
- Must be able to operate calculator
- Must be able to work in a garage environment 100% of the time
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to heavy equipment, slick surfaces, and hot-cold temperatures
- Must be able to maintain a clean work area (including grounds, restrooms, customer area, etc.)
- Must be able to perform related duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications
- Previous automotive experience is helpful but not required
