Job Summary
Perform heavy equipment lubrication, preventative maintenance, and servicing for mining and quarry operations. Conduct inspections of grease systems, fluid levels, and filters while adhering to strict safety standards. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and dust, while climbing ladders and performing tasks up to 20 feet. Maintain reliable transportation and be prepared for overtime, weekends, and extended hours as business needs require. Assist maintenance personnel and perform other duties as assigned. This role is available for entry-level night shift candidates starting at $27/hr in Crestwood, KY.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background requirements as applicable
- Ability to provide valid documentation to satisfy I-9 employment eligibility requirements
- Must be dependable and maintain reliable transportation to and from work
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as business needs require
- Must be willing to assist maintenance personnel and perform other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working with heavy equipment, diesel equipment, automotive maintenance, farm equipment, military vehicle maintenance, or industrial equipment
- Previous Experience performing lubrication, preventative maintenance or servicing heavy equipment
- Experience working around construction, quarry, mining, or industrial equipment
- Familiarity with grease systems, fluid levels, filters, and preventative maintenance inspections
- Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, climb, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to safely climb ladders and perform work at heights up to 20 feet
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and dust
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments with exposure to loud noise, moving equipment, and uneven terrain
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
