Job Summary
Perform oil changes, replace filters, and check fluid levels including engine oil, transmission, power steering, antifreeze, and brake fluid. Execute minor repairs such as replacing light bulbs and fuses, conduct vehicle safety inspections, and complete pre-delivery inspections as a certified technician. Assist assigned technicians with tasks like tire rotations, battery testing, and parts replenishment while delivering cars to service stalls. Adhere to all safety procedures, operate tools and equipment safely, and maintain current ASE certifications and a valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- six months to one year related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations; has problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills
