Job Summary
Perform oil changes by draining crankcases, replacing filters, and refilling with required oil. Inspect vehicle fluid levels, tire pressure, and moving parts, then replenish or lubricate as necessary. Sell lubrication, safety inspections, and related services while maintaining records on regular customers through phone, mail, or personal reminders. Communicate with the parts department for needed items and document all work on repair orders. Ensure customer vehicles remain clean and notify the service advisor of any condition changes. Maintain dealership tools, comply with safety regulations, and participate in manufacturer training programs.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience
- Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
