Job Summary
Conduct oil changes, tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and rotations while performing non-technical service repairs and alignments. Safely transport customers and pick up parts or tires from vendors using the company vehicle. Operate vehicles in a safe manner, conduct state safety and emission inspections, and maintain shop cleanliness including the service area and tire racks. Observe general vehicle conditions during basic services and document findings using the company's Multi-point Inspection and Repair Order. Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to management. Work five days including Saturdays in moderate to loud conditions with exposure to dust, fumes, and lubricants.
Required Qualifications
- Possess valid driver's license
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturday's
- Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently
- Communicate with customers and shop personnel
- Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
Desired Qualifications
- A general understanding of automotive mechanics preferred
