Job Summary
Perform oil changes, tire mounting/dismounting, wheel balance, and rotations while conducting state safety and emission inspections. Safely transport customers and pick up parts using the company vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws. Maintain shop cleanliness across the service area, tire racks, and showroom. Observe general vehicle conditions during basic services and document findings using the Multi-point Inspection and Repair Order. Follow safety procedures and report concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager. Work five days a week, including Saturdays, in an environment with moderate to loud noises and potential exposure to hazardous materials.
Required Qualifications
- Possess valid driver's license
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to work a minimum of five days, including Saturday's
- Must be able to stand up to eight hours per day in the shop
- Must be able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly throughout the day
- Must have full range of motion with arms and hands
- Must be able to feel, handle or finger objects frequently
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently
- Must be able to communicate with customers and shop personnel
- Must have vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus
Desired Qualifications
- A general understanding of automotive mechanics preferred
