Job Summary
Pharmacist I: LTCR Nursing Facilities Pharmacist Surveyor responsible for conducting certification surveys, licensure inspections, and investigations in Long Term Care facilities to determine compliance with federal and state regulations. Writes deficiency reports, testifies at hearings, and communicates findings; serves as SME to regional survey teams statewide. Requires Texas pharmacist license in good standing and SMQT certification (or within 12 months). Travel is up to 80% statewide; on-call duties may be required; role involves limited office work and regular travel to facilities. Describes knowledge of pharmacology, patient-care standards, and ability to evaluate drug therapies, with strong communication and computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must be licensed as a pharmacist by the State of Texas
- Must have Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) Certification or obtain within 12 months of hire
- Experience as a pharmacist
- Experience interpreting patient data and medication related needs
- Experience in a Long-Term Care Regulatory program preferred
