Job Summary
Lead the data acquisition and partnership function to establish relationships with government agencies, industry partners, and contractors for secure, sustainable data access. Translate concept of operations into a prioritised multi-modal data roadmap, defining standards for file formats, schemas, and metadata to ensure reliable ingestion for AI workloads. Negotiate access agreements, manage data transformation processes, and build platforms that consolidate data while adhering to security and classification constraints. Collaborate with technical, legal, and cybersecurity teams to enforce data governance and onboard datasets for use case development.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge in Computer Science, Infocomm Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 8 years of relevant experience
- 3 or more years in a leadership capacity
- Experience in data governance, inter-agency coordination, or data strategy
- Prior public service experience or experience working closely with government agencies, government data security and classification frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating data access or managing data sharing arrangements in a government or operationally complex environment
- Experience building or leading a team of data scientists and engineers to deliver data pipeline, warehouse and data sharing capabilities
- Experience in working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate operational data needs into a prioritised data strategy
- As part of the shortlisting process for the role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and / or undergo further assessment
