Job Summary
Design and maintain AI-powered applications for Singapore's land transport network, integrating large language models, computer vision, and agentic systems into operational workflows. Apply model optimization techniques such as quantization and pruning to benchmark performance, cost, and resilience across inference engines. Build APIs, microservices, and data pipelines connecting AI capabilities to operational systems while implementing guardrails, evaluation frameworks, and observability tooling. Participate in red-teaming exercises and prompt-injection testing to ensure safe, reliable production deployments. Collaborate with data scientists, AI architects, and industry partners on co-development efforts to translate operational needs into robust engineering solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
- 3–6 years of software development experience
- at least 2 years working on AI or ML-integrated systems
- proficient in Python
- familiar with modern AI/ML frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, PyTorch, or equivalent
- Experience with cloud-native development (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)
- CI/CD pipelines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in regulated or government environments
- Familiarity with responsible AI practices — such as evaluation harnesses, hallucination mitigation, and model monitoring
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
- Inclination to work in a collaborative, fast-moving Agile environment
- Strong in communication with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audience
