Job Summary
Track and measure Key Performance Indicators and fault data to evaluate, analyze, and implement improvements for material handling systems. Build reports demonstrating continuous maintenance and operations of equipment, while identifying predictive maintenance repairs to maintain system availability. Manage spare parts inventories using Sprocket CMMS, ensure facility cleanliness and safety compliance, and provide daily on-site communication with 3PL warehouse operators. Lead building maintenance services, coordinate third-party providers, and establish procedures for emergency downs and blocking issues. Assist the Resident Site Maintenance Manager with these duties while managing non-exempt administrative or technical employees. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 pm to 3:30 am, with overtime and occasional weekend work as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Supervisory experience managing and maintaining material handling systems
- Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment & components including drives, gearboxes, sprockets, chains, bearings, guide rollers and other related equipment
- Strong electrical skills including wiring, AC Power, AC Motors, electrical drawing & schematics, and control panels
- Knowledge and experience with the following controls components: Servo Drives, PLC, PC Controllers, DC Power Supplies, optical devices (i.e., encoders, photo eyes, etc.)
- Ability to track & measure Key Performance Indicators and Fault Data, evaluate & analyze the data, and implement & direct improvement
- Ability to build reports and communication materials
- Demonstrate continuous improvement of maintenance and operations of material handling equipment
- Working experience with MS Office products
- Ability to identify predictive maintenance repairs that are required to maintain system availability
- At least five years of successful experience in a directly related field
- Ability to demonstrate Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above
- Ability to manage non-exempt administrative or technical employees, and/or lower-level exempt employees
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs

- Knowledge and experience with Servo Drives, PLC, PC Controllers, DC Power Supplies, optical devices (i.e., encoders, photo eyes, etc.) is highly prized
