Job Summary
Support lead teachers in Lower School science and art classrooms by planning and assisting with yearly and weekly activities, preparing and organizing materials, nurturing students through scaffolding and enrichment, maintaining records and displays, managing class social media updates, assisting with the After School Science Club, and handling assigned duties such as carpool and lunchroom tasks. Collaborate with specialist teams, participate in faculty meetings, and assist in other specialist disciplines as needed, contributing to a supportive, collaborative classroom environment that aligns with The Kinkaid School’s values.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of teaching experience with students ranging in age from pre-kindergarten through fourth grade
- Proven ability to nurture and build relationships with students
- Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative management style and professional work ethic
- Collegial attitude and willingness to work on a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Eagerness and commitment to learn and grow
- Comfort and proficiency with technology
