Job Summary
Draft and file patents, prosecute applications, and defend intellectual property for Life Science technologies including cell biology, protein chemistry, and diagnostics. Collaborate with global R&D and business stakeholders to identify IP opportunities, assess risks, and develop solutions aligned with strategic objectives. Prepare opinions and advise on IP matters protecting meaningful innovations across healthcare, life science, and electronics sectors. This role requires a registered patent attorney with at least three years of experience, a JD, and fluency in English. Located in Burlington, MA (Hybrid), the position offers a base salary of $147,300 to $220,000.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) in a relevant scientific or technical field, particularly spatial biology, cell and tissue engineering, biomedical engineering or related discipline
- JD from an accredited law school
- Registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office
- Minimum of 3 years of patent law experience
- Fluency in English
- Location: Burlington, MA, USA (Hybrid); Remote to be considered
- Travel: <10%; International and Domestic
